Our nutrition counseling and education services feature a personalized approach that offers a variety of ways to improve your health and eating habits. Your current health status will be assessed to review your typical eating habits, supplement intake, medication use and activity level, as well as discuss your goals and expectations. Based on your lifestyle and goals, a personalized nutrition plan will be created that will get you moving in the right direction, helping to improve your habits and accomplish your goals. Whether it's losing weight, increasing your energy levels, enhancing your performance
or taking control of a medical condition, our dietitian can educate and motivate
you to succeed. Nutrition Services Programs What is the difference between a nutritionist and a dietitian? A nutritionist is simply a person who advises people on dietary matters regardless of training or education. This could literally be a relative or neighbor who likes to read fitness magazines. Nutritionists should not be confused with dietitians! A Registered Dietitian (R.D.) is a food and nutrition expert who holds a bachelor's
degree from an accredited university or college; has completed an internship or
practice program, and has passed a national examination administered by the Commission
on Dietetics Registration. Many states, such as Georgia, have regulatory laws for
dietitians that govern their practice and ensure their capabilities to serve the
public.
