Inspiration Chuck Honess I started working out at NPPT March 11, 2009.
I work out to be as healthy as I can be. It does help with
personal appearence, as well as personal esteem. I enjoy watching the
young kids trying to keep up with me!
My current regime is to workout once a week with a trainer,
twice a week on the curcuit, and two to three times a week I ride a road
bike at an average speed of 15 mph, and a minimum of 20 miles per outing.
I have lost a total of 24 pounds, my belt has come down two
to three notches. My strength has improved by a minimum of 40%! I had
hit a plateau with my weight lost, and joined The Accountables, and broke
thru my barrier by 6 pounds the first week.
I like to work out, it is one thing I am good at. Truly, I
am motivated by my father's health, or lack thereof. I watched my dad
suffer through 3 heart attacks before he was 40, and he eventually died
as a result of a heart attack when he was 64. He was buried on my birthday.
I was just starting to appreciate him, and I want to make sure I live
long enough so my children appreciate me and can tell me about it !!!!!!
As a member of NPPT I feel a part of a community. Like minds
motivated by similar desires. The trainers have got to be the best in
Atlanta, as well as the complete staff. The trainers actually review
your file and are familiar with your goals, talk about motivating.
Long term, I want to keep fit and injury free.
Although exercise may be the key to the "fit" machine, it is
nutrition that will keep you healthy.
If you are just starting to exercise (I have exercised off and
on for 45 years) it is a gradual process, and do not become discouraged,
and DO NOT give up. If you are reading this, and you are considering
joining NPPT, then join this club. The exercise regime designed by this
group of people is cutting edge, changes regularly, and will always be
just enough to challenge you, without injuring you.
Great
Job Chuck! |
